Amit Roy
Hello, this is Amit.
I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Purdue Computer Science. My research focus is deep learning on graphs and currently working on the graph anomaly detection problem. I am fortunate to be advised by Prof. Pan Li
Prior to joining Purdue, I have worked as a research assistant in the Artificial Intelligence and Cybernetics Lab (AGenCy Lab) at Independent University Bangladesh where I worked on several research projects related to deep learning on graph data supported by ICT Division, Government of Bangladesh. Thanks to my supervisors Dr. Amin Ahsan Ali and Dr. AKM Mahbubur Rahman. Also, I have experience of working as a software engineer at Tiger IT Bangladesh Limited where I worked as a backend developer on applied computer vision projects from real-time video data.
I received my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Dhaka in August 2020 and secured the 1st position in the class of 2019. In my undergraduate days, I was involved in competitive programming and solved 1000+ problems in different online judges. My undergraduate research topic was Utility-based Graph Mining, supervised by Dr. Chowdhury Farhan Ahmed and Md. Ashraful Islam .
