Adrian Szymczak
Adrian Szymczak is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer with a track record of successfully applying artificial intelligence to drive business outcomes. He has held leadership roles and been a top performer in a large variety of projects and initiatives, including Yohana (led by Yoky Matsuoka), Avaya Conversational Intelligence (prev. Spoken Communications), Amazon Gdansk (prev. Ivona), Microsoft Ireland, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, Volkswagen, and Orange. Additionally, he has served as a technical co-founder for the software house Expansio and is currently an advisory board member. He is also co-author (with researchers from JHU, PUT and WUST) of several scientific articles accepted at top-tier journals and conferences such as InterSpeech, EMNLP, ACL and NeurIPS, where he also served as a reviewer. Adrian holds a Master's degree in Computer Science (individual curriculum) from Poznan University of Technology, which included a period of study at the University of Stuttgart in Germany with a focus on natural language processing. He received multiple scholarships during his studies and was a finalist in the 59th Olympiad in Physics. In his spare time, he enjoys alpine skiing, mountain biking, and squash, sometimes Kaggle (top 3%). As an ex-member of the Finnish organization Rural Youth Europe and the world's largest student organization, AIESEC he participated in a large variety of EU projects all across the globe with amazing people.
