Chuan Li's research interests include computer vision, computer graphics and machine learning, with a focus on data-driven approaches and generative models. The goal is to learn non-trivial statistics from real-world data such as images, videos and shapes, and use such statistics as priors to improve the synthesis of new data. He has publications in CVPR, ECCV, ACCV, BMVC, 3DV, SIGGRAPH Asia, Transactions on Graphics, IEEE TVCG, Computer Graphics Forum, and more.
