Li Fei-Fei
Fei-Fei Li is the Chief Scientist of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) at Google Cloud, a Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, and the Director of both the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Lab (SAIL) and the Stanford Vision Lab at Stanford University. Fei-Fei received a B.S. in Physics from Princeton University before getting her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from CalTech. She was an assistant professor at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign for one year before spending three years as an assistant professor at Princeton. In 2009, she accepted a position as an assistant professor at Stanford University, which turned into an associate professor position with tenure in 2012. Fei Fei leads the AI/ML efforts at Google Cloud. She oversees basic AI research, all of the AI/ML products and engineering efforts, university relations, and Google AI’s China Center. At Stanford University, her lab’s work includes research in the areas of computer vision, machine learning, AI, computational neuroscience, and cognitive neuroscience. In 2017, she co-founded AI4ALL, a nonprofit with the mission of creating diversity and inclusion in artificial intelligence. She has published over 50 research papers since the year 2000 and has been cited almost 50,000 times in that span.
