Luis Muñoz-González
Luis Munoz-Gonzalez is a Research Associate in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London. Luis is part of the Resilient Information Systems Security (RISS) Group led by Prof. Emil Lupu. His research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and security, with especial focus on adversarial machine learning, aiming to investigate the security and robustness of machine learning systems.
Before joining Imperial College, Luis obtained the PhD degree from University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain)in 2014, under the supervision of Prof. Anibal R. Figueiras-Vidal and Dr. Miguel Lazaro-Gredilla, where Luis proposed novel Gaussian process models for non-stationary and heteroscedastic regression. For his PhD work, Luis received the Extraordinary Doctorate Award by the University Carlos III of Madrid.
Luis is/has participated in different national and European projects
in topics related to both machine learning and cyber-security. Currently
he is participating in Musketeer,
a European project funded by the European Commission under the H2020
programme on the privacy and security of federated machine learning.
Luis is also contributing to Concordia
a competence cyber-security network funded also by the European
Commission under the H2020 programme.
